For the 2023-2024 school year, Young Wonders Preschool will be open Monday through Thursday from 8:30am–4:30pm. We provide a year-round program and follow the Portland Public School vacation calendar during the school year. *We have morning-only options available too! Contact us to learn more.
We welcome students from 3-5 years of age. Young Wonders Preschool is sensitive to issues of diversity, culture, ethnicity, gender, abilities and family status. We strive to maintain an inclusive environment.
Young Wonders Preschool is a licensed, Certified Family Child Care by the State of Oregon since 2005.
Our program is an Eco-Healthy Child Care facility.
Tuition
Tuition at Young Wonders Preschool is paid monthly on the 15th. Our school year is September – August. Tuition payment applies toward the following month.
Monthly tuition must be paid in full, including days missed due to vacation, illness or school closures. If tuition is not received by the first day of the month in question, your child will not be admitted to school.
Enrollment fees and tuition deposits are non-refundable. There is no fee for completing our student application.

Typical Day
8:30 to 9:00: Children arrive
9:00 to 9:15: Morning gathering
9:15 to 10:45: Independent or small group activities; snack
10:45 to 11:35: Outside play
11:35 to 12:05: Lunch
12:05 to 12:15: Quiet reading time
12:15 to 12:30: Closing circle; singing & sharing
Extended Care Afternoons
12:30 to 12:50: Singing, stretching, reading
12:50 to 1:15: Audio stories, resting
1:20 to 2:30: Activity time, children’s choice
2:30 to 3:00: Snack and stories
3:00 to 4:30: Outside play/games, stories and good-byes for the day
4:30: School closed
